About First Lutheran Church
First Lutheran Church of Mandan was founded in 1886 by Norwegian Lutheran pioneers and has grown into a vibrant congregation serving the greater Mandan community for nearly 140 years. The church occupies its third building, a contemporary structure dedicated in 1961 and substantially renovated in the 1990s to improve accessibility and add a chapel and youth spaces. First Lutheran offers a variety of worship services, Bible study, music programs including a historic tracker-action pipe organ restored in 2010, and small group opportunities. The congregation emphasizes building faith and transforming lives through worship, education, and community engagement. Visitors are warmly invited to experience their Sunday morning or Wednesday evening services in a welcoming environment.

Service Format: Worship services are held Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., with education times at 9:45 a.m. on Sundays and 5:45 p.m. on Wednesdays (September through April); services are also available via Facebook Live and on local cable television.
