About First United Methodist Church of Ada
First United Methodist Church of Ada is a Methodist congregation with roots in Ada dating back to 1852. The congregation first met in an old schoolhouse, later worshiped in a two-story wooden church built in 1868, and moved into a new stone church in 1899. After a fire destroyed the building at 301 N. Main St. in 2012, the church worshiped at Ohio Northern University’s English Chapel for three years before returning to its Main Street location in March 2015. Sunday worship is held at 10:00 AM, with Sunday School for adults and teens at 9:00 AM. The pastor is Rev. Andrew Burns, and the church offers children’s ministry.
