About First United Methodist Church of Ada

First United Methodist Church of Ada traces its roots back to 1852 in the village of Ada, Ohio. After worshiping in various locations throughout its history, including a wooden church built in 1868, the congregation moved into a stone church on Main Street in 1899. Following a devastating fire in 2012 that destroyed the original structure, the church rebuilt and returned to its location at 301 N. Main Street in 2015. Today, the church welcomes all visitors to join in Sunday worship at 10:00 a.m., with services available both in person in the sanctuary and digitally through live streaming and podcast options. Under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Andrew Burns, an ordained elder, the congregation emphasizes inclusivity and community engagement, inviting people of all backgrounds to experience Methodist worship and fellowship.
