About House Of The Lord
House of The Lord is a non-denominational church in Akron, Ohio with over 50 years of ministry history. Founded on the belief that relationships are everything, the church emphasizes being a loving, inspiring, and hospitable community that welcomes people where they are and walks with them as they grow spiritually. Under the leadership of Founder and Preaching Pastor Bishop Joey Johnson and Lead Pastor Daren Brake, the congregation focuses on glorifying God through the power of the Holy Spirit, winning the lost, making disciples, and equipping members for ministry both locally and globally. The church actively serves families with nursery care for infants and toddlers, children's programming, and a youth ministry for grades 5-12, alongside adult education offerings. Visitors are invited to join a dynamic community that values authentic faith, biblical study, worship, mutual support, and engagement in local missions and justice initiatives.
