About Visitation Of Mary Parrish
Visitation of Mary Parish is a welcoming Catholic community located in East Akron, Ohio, serving the surrounding neighborhoods including Goodyear Heights and Middlebury. The parish, formerly known as Annunciation Church, is home to approximately 249 families and is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through word, deed, and truth. Under the pastoral leadership of Father Dismas Byarugaba, the parish offers a vibrant spiritual life with multiple Mass times and special ministries, including a Swahili Community Mass. The parish actively encourages faith formation through the FORMED program, religious education, and opportunities for service and charitable giving.
