About Avon Lake Presbyterian Church
Avon Lake Presbyterian Church has been a welcoming community fixture since 1954, offering weekly Sunday worship at 10 AM in a relaxed, come-as-you-are atmosphere. The church emphasizes inclusive participation, with communion celebrated monthly using grape juice and gluten-free bread, biweekly children's sermons, and Sunday School with crafts and activities for younger members. Special seasonal services throughout the year include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunrise, and Christmas Eve celebrations. Beyond worship, the congregation engages in service through monthly Giving Sundays focused on generosity and community support, and members can participate in the ALPC Walking Group, which meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings for health and fellowship. Visitors unable to attend in person can join services live on Facebook or watch recordings on YouTube.
