About Emmanuel Christian Assembly
Emmanuel Christian Assembly is a non-denominational church with deep roots in Ohio, originating as Christ for Today Church in 1979 through fellowship gatherings in local coffee houses. The congregation merged with Lamb of God Church in Barberton in 1982 to form Emmanuel Christian Assembly, which served the community for four decades. The church also planted satellite ministries in Harrisonburg, Virginia and North Canton, Ohio, and formed a Ministry Team that influenced churches across Ohio, Virginia, and Indiana. In 2022, the church transitioned its assets into the ECA Legacy Fund, dedicated to supporting well-established ministries, seeding new programs, assisting pastors, and funding both foreign and local missions. The congregation's commitment to Kingdom advancement through Jesus Christ continues through this legacy-focused ministry approach.
