About Christ Church Westshore
Christ Church Westshore is an Anglican congregation established in 1947 in the Bay Village area and now located in Avon Lake, Ohio, serving the Westshore communities west of Cleveland. The church is dedicated to helping people know Christ, grow in Christ, and serve Christ while building meaningful relationships within a welcoming community. Led by Rector Gene Sherman, Christ Church emphasizes faithful Anglican traditions rooted in the Book of Common Prayer, Scripture, and historic creeds, while also reaching outward to serve the surrounding neighborhoods. The congregation values both corporate worship and individual spiritual growth through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship groups for all ages. Families are particularly welcomed, with nursery care and age-appropriate programs available for children from infants through fifth grade.
