About Burton Congregational Church
The Burton Congregational Church, organized in 1808 by settlers from Cheshire, Connecticut, stands as a historic landmark in Burton, Ohio, featuring distinctive "Steamboat Gothic" architecture with a 104-foot steeple added in 1875. As part of the United Church of Christ, the congregation welcomes members from diverse Christian backgrounds who share a common love for Jesus Christ and commitment to community service. The church operates a Food Cupboard serving the community Tuesday through Saturday mornings, hosts regular Sunday worship services open to all, and maintains active ministries and community events throughout the year. Built on principles of faith, family, and service, Burton Congregational Church invites visitors to join in worship and become part of a congregation that has served its community for over two centuries.
