About St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church
St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church is a traditional Greek Orthodox parish in Canton with roots reaching back more than a century; the church says it has been “on the move since 1913.” The parish is led by Rev. Protopresbyter Nicholas V. Gamvas, D.Min., Ph.D. Its history includes the naming of the church by drawing the saint’s name from a hat, the establishment of the Ladies Philoptochos Society in 1926, and the purchase of land at 25th and Harvard NW in 1951. In 1958, the church was moved by the Mural Company. Programs include children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups.
