About Old St Mary's Church
Old St. Mary's Church in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine neighborhood has been offering worthy adoration to God since 1842, rooted in the rich Catholic immigrant heritage of the region. The parish traces its spiritual lineage to the pioneer Catholic missions established by Father Edward Fenwick and Father Frederic Rese in the early nineteenth century, when German and Irish immigrants sought religious community amid the challenges of frontier life. Today, Old St. Mary's continues its tradition of Catholic worship and sanctity, serving the metropolitan Cincinnati area with a commitment to promoting holiness and Catholic culture. The church welcomes visitors into a faith community with deep historical roots and ongoing pastoral care through its dedicated clergy and staff.
