About Messiah Lutheran Church
Messiah Lutheran Church is a welcoming community of faith located on Cleveland's East Side that has served for over 125 years. The church emphasizes inclusion and faith-building for all ages, with particular attention to younger participants who are encouraged to engage fully in worship through Sunday School and other year-round opportunities. Services are held hybrid-style on Sunday mornings at 10am, both in-person in the sanctuary and via livestream, with Holy Communion celebrated weekly and open to worshippers of all ages. Pastor Paul Moody leads the congregation, which is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and centers its ministry on gospel proclamation through preaching and sacraments. Children are actively welcomed in worship, and the church provides age-appropriate materials and a comfortable space for families who need brief breaks during services.
