About Saint Paul United Methodist Church
Saint Paul United Methodist Church has served the historic Huffman district of East Dayton since 1883, evolving into a vital community hub offering holistic services that extend far beyond traditional worship. The church is known for its inclusive welcome and sense of belonging, drawing people from diverse neighborhoods and backgrounds—many initially drawn by social services like the choice pantry, Stuff Shoppe, and meal programs. Pastor Ashton Dupler leads a vibrant, multifaceted ministry centered on the belief that freedom and dignity go hand in hand, with programs designed to empower those who feel isolated elsewhere. Sunday worship occurs in a welcoming environment complemented by adult Sunday school, contemplative prayer circles, Bible study, and meditation offerings throughout the week. The congregation partners with neighboring churches and social service agencies to address community needs, making St. Paul a place where spiritual exploration and practical compassion intersect.
