About First United Methodist Church
Franklin First United Methodist Church, located in the heart of downtown Franklin at 303 South Main Street, welcomes visitors with its distinctive green steeple and warm, inviting atmosphere. The church offers traditional worship that blends meaningful elements like a chancel choir and pipe organ with a relaxed, down-to-earth feel. Under the pastoral leadership of Pastor Laura Saunders, the congregation emphasizes making disciples, building Christian community, and transforming lives through active engagement with Scripture and service to neighbors. Families are especially welcomed, with nursery care for infants and toddlers, a children's moment during service, and children's church for kindergarten through sixth grade. The church also hosts Faith Seekers, an adult Bible study that meets Sunday mornings, and maintains a robust mission and outreach program serving the Franklin community.
