About United Methodist Church of Kent
The United Methodist Church of Kent is a dynamic congregation of approximately 1,000 members with a 200-year history, located on a 22-acre campus on the east side of Kent, Ohio. The church joyously proclaims Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and follows Jesus's example in welcoming all people regardless of age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, family configuration, marital status, political affiliation, faith history, economic status, educational background, or physical ability. Led by Senior Pastor Rev. Nathan Howe, the church offers three Sunday worship services—a traditional service at 8:30 AM in the chapel, a contemporary service at 9:30 AM in the gym, and a traditional service at 10:30 AM in the sanctuary. The congregation is deeply involved in community outreach, spiritual growth opportunities, youth ministries, music programs, and volunteer service initiatives. The church maintains an inclusive environment with accessible facilities, nursery care, and special worship services throughout the liturgical year.

Dress Code: Dress comfortably—some people dress up, some wear jeans, and in summertime some wear shorts and sandals; most wear dressy casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday mornings. Service Format: Three Sunday services are offered at 8:30 AM (traditional, chapel), 9:30 AM (contemporary, gym), and 10:30 AM (traditional, sanctuary), with nursery and childcare available for the latter two services.
