About Genesis Church
Genesis Church is a non-denominational congregation in Marion, Ohio, founded in 2010 by Pastors Keith and Kathy Irey with a heart for connecting people to Jesus and their destiny. The church has grown from small beginnings meeting in rented spaces to owning and operating a dedicated building since 2019, which includes a 24-hour community food pantry. Services blend contemporary live music with relevant, inspirational teaching and typically last about an hour and twenty minutes. The church emphasizes community connection through Life Groups, robust children's ministry from infants through junior high, and various service opportunities. Genesis describes itself as a welcoming space for believers, seekers, and those with genuine questions about faith, regardless of church background or past experiences.
