About St James Episcopal Church
St. James Episcopal Church, located at 131 N. State Street in Painesville, Ohio, has served its community since its founding in 1824. The church building itself, constructed in Victorian gothic architecture with its cornerstone laid in 1866, features beautiful stained glass windows installed over nearly a century. As part of the Episcopal Church and the broader Anglican Communion, St. James bridges Protestant and Roman Catholic Christian expressions through sacramental worship and theologically engaged community life. Under the leadership of Rector Rev.
