About Beebe Chapel
Beebe Chapel is a historic C.M.E. congregation in Ripley, organized in 1893 by Rev. Pop Jackson and named after Bishop Joseph A. Beebe. The church identifies as the first C.M.E. Church in Ohio, and its history notes that the congregation built a wooden structure in Ripley in 1899. Rev. Niya Royal has served as pastor since 2020. Weekly life includes Sunday worship at 11:00 AM and Wednesday Bible study at 7:00 PM, along with children’s ministry and youth group. The church also holds a contemporary worship service on the last Sunday evening of the month and a fourth-Sunday service at Ohio Valley Manor.
