About St. Isidore's Catholic Church
St. Isidore Catholic Parish is a rural Catholic community in Defiance County, Ohio, with roots reaching back to the 1850s. The parish was formed in July 2005 through the merger of two historic congregations, Marysdale Immaculate Conception and St. Stephens of Delaware Bend, with both worship sites remaining active today. The Delaware Bend location, built in the 1870s, features beautiful stained glass windows and a full-length mural behind the tabernacle, while the Marysdale church, constructed in the 1960s, offers a modern open design with a wooden ceiling. The parish serves its community through regular Mass, an adoration chapel open Sunday through Friday nights at the Delaware Bend site, and active parish life shared through a weekly bulletin. Under the pastoral leadership of Fr. Melwin Dsouza, St. Isidore welcomes visitors to join its worshipping community.
