About Ohio Valley Christian Center
Ohio Valley Christian Center, a ministry of First Baptist Church in Steubenville, Ohio, has served the Southeastern Ohio and West Virginia region since 1977 with a commitment to academically excellent, distinctly Christian education. The school welcomes students in grades PreK-12 from five counties, representing 36 different churches, and operates under a governing board that includes the pastor, associate pastor, and administrator. With facilities that have expanded over decades—including a gymnasium built in 1982, an auditorium and educational building in 1998, and a multipurpose building with new gymnasium in 2012—Ohio Valley Christian Center maintains higher-than-average standardized test scores while emphasizing biblical worldview integration across all academic disciplines. The school exists to help families biblically and academically educate their children so they mature into persons who passionately love God, others, and learning, with the goal that each child develops their full potential mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually.
