About Helping Hands Of Saint Louis
Helping Hands of St. Louis is a Catholic social service ministry located in Toledo, Ohio, dedicated to serving the poor and homeless with dignity and compassion. Founded in 1981 by Rev. Robert Armstrong and parishioners of St. Louis, the organization has grown from humble beginnings into a comprehensive outreach center providing over 55,000 meals annually, a food pantry serving nearly 7,000 individuals, and a clothing center assisting over 9,000 people in need. The ministry operates a soup kitchen, food pantry, clothing center, and provides hygiene kits and hot showers to homeless individuals, welcoming everyone without questions about eligibility or religious affiliation. Guided by Catholic values of compassion and stewardship, Helping Hands reflects the love of Jesus Christ by upholding the dignity of every person and walking alongside those facing hardship. The organization serves approximately 250 hot meals daily Monday through Friday and operates office hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those seeking assistance or wishing to volunteer can contact the center at 419-691-0613.
