About St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio, is part of the Metropolis of Pittsburgh in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, under the care of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Led by Reverend Protopresbyter Constantine Valantasis and Reverend Father Demetrios Constantine, the parish is deeply rooted in Orthodox tradition spanning centuries. Dress Code: Not specified—please contact the church directly. Service Format: Orthros begins at 9:00 am on Sundays, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am, lasting until approximately noon. The faithful stand for nearly the entire service, as standing is understood as work in the presence of God; sitting is permitted if needed. Visitors will observe liturgical movement, veneration of icons, the sign of the cross, and congregational singing with organ accompaniment. Visitor Tips: Only Orthodox Christians may receive communion, but all visitors receive blessed bread as a sign of fellowship at the conclusion of the liturgy.
