About Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Youngstown, Ohio traces its roots to Ukrainian immigrants who arrived in the 1870s and 1880s seeking to worship in their own Eastern Rite tradition. The parish was officially established in 1909 and incorporated in 1911, with the church building completed in 1913 after parishioners contributed through month-to-month collections and personal loans. The church features beautiful hand-crafted iconostasis made by artisans from Ukraine, installed in 1919, along with life-sized stained-glass windows depicting the four Evangelists and nine additional windows installed in 1920. Today, under the administration of Fr. Lubomir Zhybak, the parish continues its spiritual and cultural heritage, serving the Ukrainian Catholic community with Divine Liturgies throughout the week and maintaining strong ties to Ukrainian language and traditions.
