About Memorial Bapt Church of Poland
Memorial Baptist Church of Poland is a family-oriented congregation located in Youngstown, Ohio, with roots tracing back to 1962 when it began as the South Park Baptist Mission in a family home. The church is named in memory of Margaret Wynn, the five-year-old daughter of the founding pastor, and has grown over more than six decades into a community dedicated to building loving relationships and spreading God's word through various ministry programs for all ages. Though smaller in membership, the congregation emphasizes faith, fellowship, and service to the broader community, having historically been involved in starting multiple missions and currently supporting Korean and Grace Place ministries. Under the current leadership of Pastor Joe Thornton and his wife Jenny, the church continues its mission to glorify God through worship, evangelism, discipleship, and community ministry.

Service Format: Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM with classes for all ages (Nursery through Adults), followed by an 11 AM worship service featuring contemporary songs and classic hymns, with a 30-minute Bible-based message from the pastor and a time of invitation. Visitor Tips: Everyone is welcome to bring their own Bible, including digital versions on phones, and visitors are invited to join any of the age-appropriate Sunday School classes or simply arrive for the main worship service.
