About Christ's Table
Christ's Table is a nonprofit soup kitchen ministry founded in 1986 by St. John's Lutheran Church to address hunger in the Zanesville community. Originally operating from the church basement, the organization moved to its current dedicated facility in 1991 to accommodate growing demand. The mission remains centered on serving free, nutritious hot meals to those in need, particularly individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship. With a committed team of employees and volunteers, Christ's Table serves approximately 115,000 meals annually and welcomes community members interested in supporting this vital work through donations or volunteering.
