Northwest Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma traces its roots to August 3, 1952, when 41 people gathered in an unpainted house on the northside of town, establishing what began as a mission of K Street Baptist Church. Today, the church maintains its pioneering spirit of reaching out to serve all people in the community. The congregation emphasizes four core components of worship: worship and praise, spiritual formation through discipleship, service and missions, and fellowship. Members are encouraged to discover their own calling to ministry, whether through teaching, encouragement, building, comfort, or service, using their individual gifts and talents. Northwest Baptist is affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, a national network supporting diverse global missions and ministries that empower people to live out their faith in action.
