About Bible Baptist Church
Bible Baptist Church is a historic Baptist congregation established in 1948 in Duncan, Oklahoma, dedicated to preaching the Gospel and making disciples for Jesus Christ. Located at 3012 West Elk Avenue just off Highway 81, the church sits on 7½ acres and serves the Stephens County community with a vision rooted in biblical teaching and practice. The church emphasizes reverent worship, congregational singing, and expository preaching from Scripture, with services designed to honor God through a spirit-filled atmosphere. Bible Baptist offers comprehensive ministries including prayer meetings, Bible classes for all ages, children's church, youth programs, and a Bible Institute, reflecting its commitment to discipleship across generations. Visitors are invited to experience a worship service centered on God's Word and to connect with a congregation of believers dedicated to serving the Lord through the local church.
First-Time Visitor Info for Bible Baptist Church
Dress Code: Most of the church family wears traditional Sunday best, as the church believes God deserves our best in every area and that casualness doesn't promote the biblical attitude appropriate when meeting to worship. Service Format: You will find spirit-filled congregational singing, special music from various church groups, and an extreme emphasis on the preaching and teaching of Scripture, with an invitation given at the end of each service to respond to God's Word. Visitor Tips: Guests are not expected to participate in the offering; the church welcomes visitors with a warm welcome, meaningful worship experience, and helpful message from God's Word. Nursery care is provided for children age three and younger, and Bible-centered classes and children's church are available for ages 4-12 during Sunday morning services.
