First Christian Church in Edmond has welcomed people since 1899 and continues its commitment to creating a place of peace, acceptance, and community. The church intentionally opens its doors and tables to all kinds of people, emphasizing that differences strengthen rather than divide the congregation. Worship services are offered at 9 a.m. with contemporary music featuring guitars, piano, drums, and vocalists, and at 11 a.m. with traditional hymns accompanied by choir, piano, and organ. The church practices an open communion table, welcoming all who believe in Jesus Christ, and provides children's ministry options including nursery care and Children Worship & Wonder. Located at 201 East Second Street on the corner of Second and Boulevard, First Christian Church is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination and actively works to embody love in action throughout the Edmond community.

Dress Code: Wear what's comfortable for you—the church welcomes everything from jeans and t-shirts to suits and dresses. Service Format: The 9 a.m. Contemporary Service features a praise band with guitars, piano, drums, and modern worship songs; the 11 a.m. Traditional Service includes choir, piano, organ, and traditional hymns. Both services include Communion. Visitor Tips: Arrive at the main doors under the covered drop-off on 2nd Street, stop by the Welcome Stand in the lobby for assistance, and visit the Fellowship Hall for coffee and donuts before service. Children are welcome in worship, or you may use the Children Worship & Wonder program or nursery; all volunteers have completed background checks.
