About Hawley Baptist Church
Bethel Hawley Baptist Church was established in 1895 by a group of Christians in the Cherokee Strip who recognized the need for a church in what was then called "No Man's Land." Though the town of Hawley has declined over the decades, the church has grown and thrived for over 125 years, remaining committed to sharing Christ's love with their community, county, state, nation, and the world. The congregation is currently undertaking an ambitious two-million-dollar building project approved by the church to expand their facilities with a larger kitchen, fellowship hall, additional classrooms, a youth room, and improved restroom facilities. Visitors are warmly invited to experience the joy and excitement of worship at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church and to become part of their fellowship as they continue serving Jesus Christ.
