About NorthHaven Church
NorthHaven Church is an inclusive Baptist congregation located in Norman, Oklahoma, meeting in a converted grocery store space with around 65 members. The church embraces progressive theology centered on Christ's call to love unconditionally, serve those in need, and grow together in faith. Led by Pastor Jakob Topper, NorthHaven affirms LGBTQ+ individuals in all aspects of church life including leadership and ordination, welcomes women in ministry, and practices open communion. The congregation emphasizes the Four Fragile Freedoms central to Baptist tradition: soul freedom, Bible freedom, church freedom, and religious freedom. NorthHaven is dedicated to thoughtful spiritual exploration, community service, and creating a safe space where people of all backgrounds, doubts, and stories can belong without judgment.
