About Heritage Church
Heritage Church is a Baptist congregation located in downtown Shawnee, Oklahoma, with deep roots in the community stretching back over two centuries. The church was formed in November 2022 through the merger of First Baptist Church, which served the area for over 125 years, and Heritage Church, originally established in 1934. Heritage Church is committed to fostering a multi-generational, Christ-centered fellowship dedicated to equipping believers through theological education, sound preaching of God's Word, and service to the vulnerable and the broader Shawnee community. The congregation welcomes visitors to join them for Sunday worship services, weekly Bible studies, and various life groups designed to build discipleship and spiritual growth. With a mission rooted in five core values—theological education, equipping the saints, advancing the gospel, ministering to the vulnerable, and seeking the welfare of the city—Heritage Church invites people of all ages and walks of life to experience a welcoming church family.
