About Oak Street Church Of Christ
Oak Street Church of Christ in Albany, Oregon is a congregation devoted to following the commands found in the Bible and patterning itself after the church established by Jesus Christ and his apostles in the New Testament. The church emphasizes spiritual growth over material or social functions, meeting in a comfortable assembly space designed for worship, Bible study, and mutual encouragement. Services include congregational singing without instrumental accompaniment, prayer led by members, Bible teaching, and observance of the Lord's Supper each Sunday. The church operates independently under Christ's leadership rather than human governance, with appointed elders providing spiritual oversight.
