About BRYN SEION WELSH CHURCH

Bryn Seion Welsh Church is a historic nondenominational Christian congregation established in 1884 by Welsh settlers in the Beavercreek area near Oregon City, Oregon. The church maintains its founding mission to serve God and the community while preserving Welsh heritage through bilingual worship services conducted in English with singing and prayers in Welsh. Beyond regular services held on select Sundays, the church is known for its annual Gymanfa Ganu, a Welsh hymn-singing festival held the fourth Sunday in September at 2:00 PM, as well as special events including concerts, cultural presentations, and Christmas celebrations. As one of the oldest and last active Welsh churches on the Pacific Coast, Bryn Seion welcomes visitors and community members who wish to participate in worship, cultural events, and the church's active support of local ministries and organizations.
