About City Team Ministries
City Team Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving Portland and several other West Coast cities since its founding in 1957. Rooted in Christian conviction to love neighbors as oneself, the ministry addresses immediate human needs through hot meals, shelter, clothing, and hygiene services while offering residential programs designed to help individuals and families overcome addiction, homelessness, and poverty. The organization provides case management, job skills training, and spiritual care to guide clients toward lasting self-sufficiency and community rebuilding. In fiscal year 2024 alone, City Team provided six million meals, 142,000 nights of shelter, and three million dollars worth of clothing to vulnerable neighbors across its service areas.
