About Fremont United Methodist Church
Fremont United Methodist Church is a welcoming faith community located in Northeast Portland that has served the Irvington and Alameda neighborhoods since 1923. The church embodies Jesus's love and is deeply committed to equity, social justice, and community care. As a Reconciling Congregation, Fremont fully affirms and embraces LGBTQI+ individuals and all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The congregation gathers for worship every Sunday at 10am both in person and via Zoom, celebrating together and beginning each service with a land acknowledgment and statement of full inclusion. Fremont actively engages in creation care, disability justice, and family ministry while serving as a community hub for the neighborhood. Visitors of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcomed to explore faith, deepen their relationship with God, and participate in service to others.
