About Love Of God Church
Love Of God Church in Portland traces its beginnings to a prayer ministry started in September 1999 by Vasiliy Tishchenko, his wife Elena, and their two young children on Mount Love. The church’s history also connects its beginnings to a word Vasiliy received during a 1997 missionary trip to Kamchatka. Its vision includes building a strong Bible school and developing strong home churches. The church offers children’s ministry through Children’s Valley, a bilingual program that teaches children basic English and Russian, and it also has small groups. Its evangelistic ministry reaches Tanzania, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Papua, and Nepal.
