About Japanese International Baptist Church
Japanese International Baptist Church is a multi-generational, bilingual Japanese and English Baptist church in Tigard. The church began with one family on top of Sylvan Hill in 1978 and moved to Tigard in 1995. Its ministry serves both Japanese-speaking and English-speaking worshipers, with Sunday gatherings offered in Japanese, English, and as a combined service. Pastor Kenji Yokoi has pastored at JIBC since 2002, and Pastor Mitch Yokoi became a pastor there in 2018. Mutsuko Wepsala serves on staff as a minister and volunteer minister.
