What to Expect as a First-Time Visitor to First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem

Dress Code: At First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, we have a casual and welcoming atmosphere. Feel free to dress comfortably, whether that's in jeans and a t-shirt or something a little dressier. The most important thing is that you come as you are and feel at home.

Service Format: We offer two different worship services on Sundays to accommodate different preferences.

The 9:00 am Holy Ground contemporary service is held in the Fellowship Hall and has a more relaxed, modern feel with praise music led by a worship band.

The 11:15 am traditional service takes place in the beautiful Sanctuary and follows a more formal liturgical structure with hymns accompanied by our impressive pipe organ. This service is also livestreamed online for those who can't attend in person.

Both services typically last around an hour and include elements like scripture readings, a sermon, and opportunities for prayer. Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.

Tips for Visitors: - Arrive a little early to allow time for parking and getting settled. Greeters will be available to help direct you. - Feel free to sit anywhere in the Sanctuary or Fellowship Hall. Ushers can also assist in finding you a seat. - Participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable. You won't be singled out as a visitor. - Make sure to fill out a visitor card so we can welcome you and provide more information about the church. - Check out the Welcome Center in the lobby to learn about upcoming events, ministry opportunities, and ways to get involved.
