About Holy Infancy Church
Holy Infancy Church, founded in 1861 by Saint John Neumann (then bishop of Philadelphia), stands as the oldest Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The parish began serving local Catholics with visiting priests from Easton and Allentown before establishing its own congregation, eventually constructing the current church building on land donated by the Moravians and dedicating it on September 17, 1882. Today, Holy Infancy serves a diverse community with Masses offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese throughout the week, along with weekday Masses and Holy Day vigil services. The parish actively supports spiritual growth through resources like Formed.org and the Franciscan University of Steubenville's online Catechetical Institute, available free to parishioners. The church also ministers to young adults ages 18-35 with a Spanish-language group meeting weekly, and maintains an Almonry Ministry to serve those in need within the community.
