About Norton Avenue Baptist Church
Norton Avenue First Baptist Church in Bristol has served the community since its establishment in 1958. The church’s history began with Reverend and 1st Lady Jordan serving as its first pastor and first lady, and the congregation notes more than 60 years of serving and celebrating blessings. A current weekly gathering is Wednesday evening Bible Study at 7:30 PM on Zoom. The Norton Avenue building also played a role in the start of No Longer Bound Prevention and Training Services, which later relocated; its former Mitchell Road facility was renamed The Martha Miller – No Longer Bound Educational Center.
