St. John's Lutheran Church has served the Shiremanstown community since its founding in 1787, evolving through multiple locations before settling in its current building in 1970. Rooted in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lower Susquehanna Synod, the congregation embraces a welcoming mission centered on three pillars: Grow in Faith, Share God's Love, and Serve Others. Service Format: Worship services are held Saturday at 6 pm and Sunday at 9 am (September–May) or 10 am (June–August), with Sunday School at 10:15 am during the school year. Visitor Tips: Parking is located at the rear of the building on Main Street; children are especially welcomed and encouraged to participate fully in worship.
