About St. Paul Lutheran Church
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carlisle, Pennsylvania has served the greater Carlisle and Harrisburg area since 1854, when it began as a German-speaking congregation. Today, the church is a vibrant ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) congregation rooted in a mission to extend God's kingdom through worship, discipleship, and community service. The congregation welcomes all people—whether new to faith or lifelong Lutherans, whether arriving with joy or heavy-hearted—emphasizing radical welcome where each person is freed to be who God made them to be. St. Paul maintains strong social ministry and community outreach programs, continues a rich musical tradition, and offers worship led by Pastor Titus Clarke. The church building, a beautiful stone structure completed in 1907, sits at the corner of West and Louther Streets and remains a landmark of faith and ministry in the region.
