About St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church
St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church is a welcoming community of Orthodox Christians serving Chambersburg and the surrounding area since its founding in August 1995. As the only Orthodox Christian Church in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the parish celebrates its ancient liturgical heritage while conducting all services entirely in English to make worship accessible to people of all backgrounds. The church is part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America and the Diocese of Oakland, Charleston and the Mid-Atlantic. Through communal worship, personal prayer, study, and service, parishioners seek to share the transforming power of the Gospel and the healing presence of Christ with their diverse community. Visitors are invited to experience the beauty of Orthodox Christian worship and join in the parish's mission of spiritual growth and community service.
