About First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth is a historic Presbyterian congregation located on the corner of Bayard and Third Street in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, with roots tracing back over 165 years. Originally established in 1851 as a shared ministry with Round Hill Church, the congregation became an independent body in 1957 and has served the local community through significant periods of growth and change. Led by Pastor Rev. Benjamin Schneider since 2017, the church invites all people to discover purpose and community, believing that God's love extends to everyone. The church building itself reflects the congregation's evolution, with expansions and renovations spanning from the late nineteenth century through the post-World War II era. Today, First Presbyterian Church continues its mission of serving God in the world and helping the people of Elizabeth understand God's plans for their lives.
