About Metzler's Mennonite Church
Metzler's Mennonite Church is a Mennonite congregation in Ephrata with deep roots in the Conestoga Creek area. The church took the Metzler name after Jacob Metzler sold land for a meetinghouse and cemetery in 1827. Its present brick church was built in 1897, with later additions in 1952 and 1980. Ryan Bomgardner serves as lead pastor, with associate pastors Jed Cassel and Scott Garman and youth pastor Evan Horst. The church offers children’s ministry and is undertaking a building and renovation project that includes a larger nursery, handicap-accessible bathrooms, and additional parking spaces.
