About New Hope Evangelical Lutheran
New Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in Freedom, Pennsylvania is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the Southwestern PA Synod, established in 1987 through the merger of two local churches. The congregation held its first service in its current building in 1988 and continues to serve the Economy Borough community at the corner of 2nd Avenue and 1st Street. Rooted in the New Hope that God has given through Jesus, the church is called to learn, live, and share the love of God. The congregation gathers for worship both in person in the sanctuary and online via Facebook Live, fostering fellowship and spiritual growth.
