About Saint Luke's Lutheran Church
Saint Luke's Lutheran Church is a traditional Lutheran congregation in Freeland with roots dating to 1868. It was organized in 1876 as The St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Freeland and Highland and united with the Evangelical Lutheran Ministerium of Pennsylvania that same year. The church’s parish house includes the office, and its Memorial and Endowment Funds were formed in 1969. Saint Luke’s also serves the wider Freeland area through a food pantry that reaches about 120 families. Children’s ministry and youth group programs are part of the congregation’s life.
