About Washington Memorial Chapel
Washington Memorial Chapel in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania is a vibrant Anglican parish uniquely situated within Valley Forge National Historic Park. Built as a living memorial to George Washington and the Patriots of Valley Forge, the chapel serves as both a working parish church and a national historic landmark on the National Register of Historic Places. The chapel welcomes regular worshippers and visitors alike, offering multiple services throughout the week including Sunday Choral Mass, weekday spoken masses, and morning prayer. Beyond worship, the community provides adult formation, beautiful stained glass windows conceived by founder Reverend W. Herbert Burk and crafted by artist Nicola D'Ascenzo, and a used bookstore with proceeds supporting the chapel. The roughly 50-acre campus includes the chapel, bell tower, cemetery, and café, drawing tens of thousands of visitors annually from across America and around the world.
