Congregation Or Ami

Dress Code: Kippot (head coverings) and tallitot (prayer shawls) are optional and available in the lobby if desired. Service Format: Prayer and worship services feature a dynamic blend of opportunities with heavy emphasis on music and congregational participation; Jewish prayer is understood as a communal experience rather than a performance by service leaders, and congregants are encouraged to open prayer books and participate as best they can or use the time for quiet contemplation. Visitor Tips: The sanctuary is a sacred space where full presence and participation are encouraged; families are invited to bring children's friends to sit together; cell phones should be silenced; talking or texting is discouraged; food and beverages should not be consumed in the sanctuary; refrain from entering or leaving while the ark is open or the congregation is standing.
