About Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Catholic parish in Lebanon dedicated to Mary under the title of the Assumption. The parish traces its heritage to early colonial times, when the first Catholic mission in Lebanon County was formed between 1710 and 1719. Its present church was completed in 1880 after the cornerstone was laid in 1876. Saint Mary’s Parish Center, opened in 1998, includes a chapel, education and social facilities, and parish offices. The marble altar contains relics of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini, and Saint John Neumann. Weekend Masses are offered Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
