About Bethlehem Baptist Church
Bethlehem Baptist Church in McKeesport traces its beginning to early 1889, when the congregation was birthed in the home of James and Dollie Dickerson. By October of that year, the church had been established with fifteen members, and its first pastor was Rev. Thomas Ford. Services continued in the Dickersons’ home in Christy Park for many years. The church describes itself as “the house of bread where the spirit is fed” and invites visitors to come worship with the congregation.
